Situated at 1650 m above sea level, Davos is one of the classic Swiss alpine resorts featuring an abundance of world-class facilities for both summer and winter enthusiasts. In winter, the region is most famous for its alpine skiing, however it is also one of the top destinations for cross-country skiing. In addition, there are 12km of prepared Nordic Walking Tours along with approximately 30 groomed and marked winter walking trails.

Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding

Davos-Klosters ski region is one of the largest and most snow-sure in Switzerland, with 6 ski areas to choose from providing over 320 km of slopes.

The largest of these, the Parsenn ski gondola (Parsennbahn) which connects Davos with Klosters, is a 10 minute walk from the chalet. A short public bus ride takes you to the Jacobshorn or Schatzalp ski areas (bus stop 5 minutes walk).

Many other ski areas, such as St. Moritz and Lenzerheide are easily accessible by car.

★ The beginners children's slope is situated 50 meters from the chalet.

Touring and Freeriding

The Davos-Klosters area also has a reputation for unparalleled off-piste, backcountry freeriding, and touring with experienced and certified mountain guides locally available to organise everything from a day of lift-access off-piste powder skiing to overnight backcountry hut trips.

Cross-Country Skiing

Davos provides 46km of prepared ski-skating and 77km of prepared classical cross-country ski trails (including the FIS Nordic World Cup loop), with 2.5km of lighted night trails.

The main Davos village loop passes approximately 50m from the front door of the chalet. The Nordic ski centre features lockers, rental equipment, showers, and a restaurant.
